In the months leading to graduation, Eliza participated in a group show held
During this time the work and form of Biotic as a body of work was taking shape.
Keen to experiment and explore minimalist linear form, Eliza carved the guide marks that she always applies to the raw blocks before carving (in applying this she sketches sections on the block and carves from sight in an attempt to preserve the depth in the image).
This line art style, though unpopular when placed next to familiar scenes like Circular Quay in Soundtrack of your Voice, is something she’s keen to revisit.
